"Common Sense"

I picked up Glenn Beck's book "Common Sense" a few weeks ago. This is a book I recommend to everyone out there no matter what your political persuasion. I may not agree with everything Beck says but on more than one occasion I felt as if Beck had asked for my thoughts and feelings on the current state of our country and then written them down. Ok I read his speech and I am trying to figure out what all the fuss is about....

A speech about personal responsibility and working hard to be successful. How can you disagree with that especially if you are a conservative. Isn't that what we preach?

I am proud to be a conservative but those of you who get all worked up and speak out against a speech you have not read yet make the rest of us look as foolish as you. How can you really expect people to take us seriously if you act so irrational.

A little advice for the future - Think before you speak.
